Description
This is a Japanese made 1970’s Nikko Integrated Stereo Amplifier TRM-500 in perfect working order and great cosmetic condition. While not a powerhouse amp this is a high end offering from Nikko where the designers have put all their focus & the amps power into creating exceptional musical detail with the fabulous presence and soundstage that you only hear with the great amps of the 70’s.

Six inputs,
Phono 1 & 2, Tuner, Tape 1 & 2, Aux. You can run a CD, DVD or VCR through the Tape or Aux inputs. The back plate states, 'pre-amp/amplifier'.

There are knobs for
Treble, Bass, Balance & Volume. Push buttons for input selection & speakers A & B.

Switches for
Loudness, Mode Stereo/Mono, Low & High filters, 2 channel/4 channel (quadraphonic?).

Pre-in and out on rear, Tape 1&2 Din or RCA inputs, additional Phono inputs for tape 2 on front face.
There are 3 power outputs, Asian plug type and 3 overload reset switches.
Rated at 160 watts power usage, 25~30 watts output per channel.

Performance
While not a familiar brand in Australia this is a great near top of line 70's Japanese amplifier that has very good stereo imaging and exceptional instrument detail in the great 70's tradition. Think Pioneer meets Rotel. Very good vocal reproduction, clean detail across frequencies. Bass and high frequency open and un-boosted. No crackle No pop.

Condition
Face plate Knobs and all face writing in near mint condition. Clean as a whistle inside and out. Full discrete components, hand assembled & soldered, large heat sink. All lights are in perfect order. The case work is real timber veneer and is in excellent condition.
