Technics SA 5400X
4 channel Receiver circa 1974 SOLD
I
waited a long time to hear an early Technics amplifier/receiver.
The sound from this SA 5400X is first rate. Great musical detail,
plenty of power for a normal sized room. If you have not heard
vintage audio before you will be amazed at the qualities of the
sound, musical details you never knew existed will be revealed.
With a slightly warm sound this receiver seems very at home with
Pop/Rock music and is a great starter for anyone new to vintage
audio but it is no slouch either. This unit was selling for $320
US at the time of its release in 1974 and that was big money. They
were not kidding when they said " Sell your bed pawn your room
mate" in the advertising material.
