Sansui SR 929 Direct Drive Turntable Sold

Is this the sexiest Sansui Turntable ever?
Well its the best looking vintage turntable I have seen and the glowing readout has got to be close to a design one-off. And its not just good looks either.

Here's what Sansui say on the opening page of the SR929 sales brochure;

"At last, within reach of ordinary music fans and audio buffs, there is now a turntable so accurate and so precise that it exceeds even the strictest professional standards of performance. Not only is its speed very close to absolutely perfect, its generated noise in relation to the audio signal is, in practice, immeasurable. Platter rotation constancy is amazing, with a deviation of less than 0.002%. Thats less than 2 revolutions out of 100, 000! And speed is unaffected by load changes, temperature changes, power voltage/frequency fluctuations and aging."

Includes the original manual, double sided Mat and cables. There are two spare Shure styli, one used and one (we believe to be) new.

This unit is in superb condition. One owner. There is a little light scuffing on the lid but nothing out of the ordinary for age. There is some minor oxidisation on topside of the arm piviot, (see second photo large). I might just see if it buffs off as I expect it will. All other aspects, especially the black plinth are like new.
